What's Going On? - 5 years ago

Childhood

Sitting on the swing,
Swinging through the wind.
On the same old swing,
Pushing myself to swing, swing, swing.
Here I am in a daze,
Thinking through my childhood days.

All day long we come and go,
Pacing through the sand we go!
Footprints up and down the sand,
Playthings scattered over them.
How we riot through our play,
More then a dozen times a day!

As the time ticks for a break,
In a group we ask for bread.
Bread and butter would just do,
Spread with sugar welcome too!
Pacing through the kitchen floor,
Here we are to ask for more!

And when the day is at an end,
Everyone would make new friends!
Here I am swinging in the swing,
Thinking through my childhood in a wink.
Leaving the swing, walking away,
Bracing through the wind, ending the day.
